Happy Wednesday, lovelies!
I am up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today with this card I made with the new Peony Blooms Set (they're simply gorgeous, I cannot stay away from them!).

Newton's Nook Designs Peony Blooms Set - Naki Rager

This card is CAS and shabby chic, I love how it turned out!

So my very dear friend and a partner in crime Nina (She's back in the blog land! Woo Hoo! Click HERE and check out her blog!) took this beautiful photo with lovely peonies from her garden and I was totally inspired by it! Not only the blooms are gorgeous, but I am loving all the different media in this photo!

The very first thing I did was heat embossed the Mason jar image from the lovely Blooms Set with light gray embossing powder on watercolor paper and die cut it with the coordinating die. I also wrote "NND" on the jar with a white gel pen and added shadows with the Cool Gray Clean Color Real Brush Watercolor Pen. Next thing was stamped a couple peonies with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper and watercolored them with yellows. I know Nina's flowers are pale pink but I really like yellow flowers, so cheerful 💛

I borrowed the wish die from the Balloon Shaker Die Set and die cut it from the Therm-O-Web Foam Adhesive and foiled it. Here's a little tip; cut out a small piece of foam adhesive first, foil it THEN die cut, the die cutting machine presses down the foil very evenly and nicely! Leave the sentiment in the die until you're ready, then place it on your card and gently push it out with a piercing tool.

I die cut the woodgrains from the Gray Core'dinations Cardstock and sand it down, tor, tore off the right side of the panel, sewed a doily onto it, then mounted on a white linen cardstock. A little gold thread behind the jar, Jude twine on the jar, and several sparkling clear confetti, done ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!
You have no idea how excited I was to see this fun set!
I'm a crazy cat lady and I just LOVE seeing them jump in any empty boxes!
And just look at all these adorable images 💗

OH.MY.GOODNESS.!!!
And we thought the Newton Loves Boxes Set was cute, look at this kitty 🍩💗

Alright, here we go!

Hee Hee 😆
I just couldn't resist it!!!
"If I fits, I sits" was all I could think of with this fun and cute set!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton Loves Boxes Set - Naki Rager

Look at this cutie trying to fit in this tiny box! I LOVE it 💗
I stamped him with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper and watercolored.
"you can do it" is so perfect with this image! It is simply cute and encouraging, who wouldn't want to receive a card such as this one!?

I used the Essential Alphabet Die Set to die cut the sentiment right from the front panel and just left the letters. Added a few copper star sequins for a bit of sparkle and done!

My second card with this new adorable set seems like there's a lot going on but actually quite simple ;-) I kind of played with the new Framework Die Set to show you how you fun these little frames are!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton Loves Boxes Set - Naki Rager

This image is so cute! and so cat! {LOL} They forget to tuck in their fluffy bottom a lot, don't they!? 😝 I stamped this guy with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper and watercolored as usual. Then it was die cut using the coordinating die, but trimmed off the outline with the scissors because I made a little boo-boo, and didn't like the color I used around the image! The marking of this kitty was inspired by our DT member, lovely, super talented Maria's cat ;-) She shared a photo of her fluffy kitty that looked just like this image and I just loved it!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton Loves Boxes Set - Naki Rager

I absolutely LOVE this sentiment!
I love it so much, it is framed and mounted in the dead center! {LOL}
It was heat embossed with metallic copper embossing powder but I must be doing something wrong, it lost its shininess after heat setting 😕

Newton's Nook Designs Newton Loves Boxes Set - Naki Rager

I borrowed some toys from the Newton's Antics set.
I wanted to make a point, don't even bother buying your cats expensive toys because we all know that they love boxes a lot better than them! {LOL} And apparently, so do kids...{LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Donut Set - Naki Rager

The adorable doughnut image gave me the idea for a shaker ;-)
Isn't this card simply yummy and so fun!?

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Donut Set - Naki Rager

Newton is just so cute no matter what he does, but oh, man! This is the cutest EVER and officially my favorite 💗 Okay, part of it is because of the doughnut, too...{LOL}
For this card, the image was stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper and watercolored then die cut with the coordinating die. The sprinkles were colored with gel pens, I thought that would give the shiny look that they have, also a teeny bit of dimension ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Donut Set - Naki Rager

I am so in love with this sentiment 💗 How stinkin' cute!!!
I heat embossed it with tea rose embossing powder on vellum, which was die cut with one of the flags from the Frames & Flags Die Set. Don't forget to check out all the pretty sequins, I used many different colors just like the sprinkles, yum 💗

Newton's Nook Designs May Release Day 3

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Hi, there!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 18th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
On day 3, we are revealing the super adorable Papa Bear Stamp Set along with the Coordinating Die Set!

Isn't this just the sweetest daddy stamp set ever!?
I LOVE how Winston is playing with his little cubs, so much love 💗
Alright, here are my cards...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Papa Bear Set - Naki Rager

This set just like so many other NND sets has some seriously cute sentiments and this card was totally inspired by the "From Your Favorite Cub(s)". When you have many kids like myself, "from a group" type of sentiment always helps ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Papa Bear Set - Naki Rager

So this card is a Father's Day card from our 4 kids.
Each cub image represents them, and the cub on the very left is our oldest boy, his favorite color is "aquamarine" so I gave him an aquamarine bow tie. Our other boy aka our twin boy loves red, so he received a red bow tie.

Newton's Nook Designs Papa Bear Set - Naki Rager

And then, here are our girls ;-)
Our older daughter aka our twin girl is so girly and naturally, her favorite color is pink, so she has a pink bow on her head ;-) Our youngest is also a girl and she absolutely loves blue, so a blue bow for her ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Papa Bear Set - Naki Rager

I picked up the poppy color from the second cub's bow tie and die cut "we love you" with the Essential Alphabet Die Set. Doesn't poppy look really lovely against the sponged background!? And then, I stamped 2 of the little sentiments from the set "from your favorite" and "cubs" with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock and trimmed them.

Newton's Nook Designs Papa Bear Set - Naki Rager

Another Father's card for my hubby but this one is from me ;-)
His favorite color is green, so I kind of built this whole look after picking that distressed green and blue polka dots paper. It is always good to be a paper hoarder, you know...{LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs Papa Bear Set - Naki Rager

So I thought I should make this papa bear and his little cub all fluffy to make it even more loveable 💚 I stamped the image with Antique Linen Distress Ink on marker paper (it is super smooth!) and started making them all fuzzy and fluffy with colored pencils. Aren't they adorable!? Here's a little tip if you want to try what I call "Fuzzy Coloring"...When you first adding fur one by one, they always look like Chewbacca from Star Wars! Just keep coloring and eventually, they get cute and fluffy {LOL}

Newton's Nook Designs Papa Bear Set - Naki Rager

I wanted to frame the cute image with the scallop frame from the new Framework Die Set, but then I didn't exactly have a whole design, then I thought layers of distressed paper was a good look with these fuzzy guys. For the sentiment, I also layered some banners underneath. This sentiment is so cute! 💚

Newton's Nook Designs May Release Day 2

Tuesday, May 15, 2018

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome back to the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 18th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!
Today is day 2 and we are revealing the gorgeous Peony Blooms Set!

I know! WOW!!!
I love peonies, They're just so beautiful 💗When my hubby and I didn't know the name of these beauties, we called them "pom poms". Don't they remind you of those fluffy cheerleaders' pom-poms!? {LOL}

Okay, here's my take with my "pom-poms" ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Peony Blooms Set - Naki Rager

Newton's Nook Designs Peony Blooms Set - Naki Rager

All these gorgeous images were stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper, lightly watercolored and die cut with the Coordinating Dies. Aren't they breathtaking!?

Newton's Nook Designs Peony Blooms Set - Naki Rager

And here is one of the beautiful sentiments from the set, which was heat embossed with rose gold embossing powder then die cut with this ticket die from the Framework Die Set. I popped it with foam tape on the copper foil banner, which was die cut with the Frames & Flags Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Peony Blooms Set - Naki Rager

My second card with this beautiful new set is preppy in yellow and navy ;-)
So I don't have any navy and white wide striped paper so I simply trimmed the watercolor paper to 5-1/2"x4-1/4", placed 3 pieces of masking tape on it to create these wide stripes, and used the wide flat paintbrush to apply navy watercolor ink. I splattered some white ink but it made it look like stary night so I went over them with navy paint again. It ended up looking distressed and I love it!

Newton's Nook Designs Peony Blooms Set - Naki Rager

For this card, these beautiful flowers were stamped with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink on watercolor paper and watercolored with yellow and a tiny bit of green for shading. After die cutting them with the Coordinating dies, I popped them on with foam tape.

Newton's Nook Designs Peony Blooms Set - Naki Rager

This beautiful sentiment was heat embossed with yellow embossing powder on vellum and die cut with the smaller postage stamp die from the new Framework Die Set
It's the same flowers but they look totally different with different colors, isn't it amazing!? The first design is so soft and feminine, but I must admit, I love preppy so the second card is more me ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs May Release Day 1

Monday, May 14, 2018

Hello, lovelies!
Welcome to the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!
All the new products will be available for purchase this Friday the 18th in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop! Woo Hoo!
Today is day 1 of the reveal and I just know you'll LOVE them!
Let's take a look at them ;-)

This new Framework Die Set is absolutely awesome!
Different shapes and different sizes, it's just fun and so versatile!

The first stamp set to reveal is this gorgeous Blooming Botanical Set 🌼
This is a large stamp just like the Company of Cats, Frozen Fellowship, or Woof Pack, which all fit inside the biggest frame from the new Framework Die Set and the Frames & Flags Die Set

Alright, here is my take...;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Blooming Botanical Set - Naki Rager

Well, how could I not have had this gorgeous image inside the postage stamp frame when it fits perfectly!? And this reminded me of the forever stamps with flowers and the word love from the USPS!

Newton's Nook Designs Blooming Botanical Set - Naki Rager

I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder on watercolor paper, which was die cut with the frame die first. Watercoloring all these beautiful flowers was nothing but a joy! And wow, it was so therapeutic! Once it was all colored in, all it needed was this big, bold sentiment die cut right out of the panel. I added a couple layers of the sentiment first then popped the watercolored sentiment back on top.

So here's a little funny story...
I wanted to send my mom in Japan a mother's day card, and it usually takes a week for a delivery. It was already Wednesday so I rushed and mailed this very card, then realized later that day, I never took photos for my blog! So I only got to make one card with this gorgeous set 😢 AND I like to make at least 2 cards with each new set! bummer...
